If you’re creating your own music, you can even share it with others using Rave’s sister service, Rave DJ, allowing you to view it (and other new music) together through the Rave app. Unlike other platforms, however, Rave has a focus on music (although you’re free to play any type of video content you like). If you wanted anything more advanced within Syncplay then it is beyond my ability to implement, especially as I wouldn't be using (and therefore regularly testing) the functionality. Those who want a fancy overlay can try using Discord to do it. Rave is totally mobile based, with Android and iPhone apps available to use. Generally speaking, anyone who really cares about text-based chat should probably use mpv. You can set up a private party, or start a public “rave” and get to know other like-minded users. Videos playing between shared users are synced, with a built-in text and voice chat system allowing you to communicate with your friends and family. ![]()
